1. About this service
Profile Pal is a hobby project operated by Camilla Thorsen. It uses AI to generate pet adoption bios for animal rescue organizations from uploaded photos and audio recordings. Access is free for approved organizations and charities.
2. Account and access
Access to Profile Pal requires an account. Accounts are issued by invitation only. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and must not share them with others.
3. Acceptable use
Profile Pal is intended for animal rescue organizations and charities creating pet adoption content. You must not use the service to upload content you do not own or have rights to, for any purpose unrelated to animal rescue, or in any way that violates applicable laws.
4. Uploaded content
When you upload photos or audio recordings, you confirm you have the right to do so. Uploaded files are sent to OpenAI's API for processing (image analysis and audio transcription) and are not stored permanently by Profile Pal. By uploading content, you grant Profile Pal a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it solely for the purpose of generating adoption bios.
5. AI-generated content
Adoption bios are produced by AI and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any generated content before publishing it.
6. Usage limits
The service enforces per-user rate limits to manage costs: up to 5 bio generations per 10 minutes and up to 10 image analyses per 10 minutes. These limits may change without notice.
7. Service availability
Profile Pal is a hobby project provided on a best-effort basis. There are no guarantees of uptime, availability, or data retention. The service may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice.
8. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Camilla Thorsen is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
